Accomplished

Accomplished: sent “The Note You Left” to Emma Wallace to add a piano track.

Last Saturday Craig and I worked on my new song (writing), instead of recording. I feel pretty confident now about the chord progression, speed, etc. I will do a simple recording of it soon.

Sunday, Matt came over to jam with Craig and I for the first time. He plays bass, mainly, which is really helpful. Now we have someone who might be able to gig with us in town. Maybe he’ll even contribute some basslines to the album. He also plays acoustic guitar, and writes his own music. We had a very full day of listening and playing and learning about what we can offer each other as musicians. I am really excited about the future possibilities this working relationship will bring.

I’m on my second day of work of four in a row. It really isn’t that bad. But, I’ve noticed I am a lot less bothered by work when I’ve got progress happening outside of it.

So, I keep going. I try not to doubt, or think too hard. Next thing you know…
